GALLHAMMER: UK Dates Announced

Japanese all-girl trio GALLHAMMER has scheduled the following UK dates:

March 12 - London, UK - [to be confirmed]
March 13 - Leeds, UK - Rios
March 14 - Cardiff, UK - Barfly
March 15 - Birmingham, UK - Barfly
March 16 - Liverpool, UK - Barfly
March 17 - York, UK - Fibbers
March 18 - Glasgow, UK - Barfly

MP3.com is streaming the entire new album from GALLHAMMER. Entitled "Ill Innocence", the CD was released in Europe on September 24 via Peaceville Records. Listen to the album at this location.

Although GALLHAMMER has been known primarily as a black metal/punk/crust act, the album is impressively diverse, showing their implementation of many influences and moods from both metal and non-metal genres. The themes are based around isolation, oppression, a world without colour, with bassist/vocalist Vivian Slaughter describing the imagery as "delirium — [like] being in a midday nightmare under the scorching sunshine"; all wrapped in sheer poetic gloom. "Ill Innocence" also features recordings of the tracks "Speed of Blood" and "At the Onset of the Age of Despair", as previewed in demo form on "The Dawn of…" A GALLHAMMER mini-site containing downloads, album info, new tracks, and CD/t-shirt bundles can be found at this location.
